Hustings for CAA Council for 2024-2026
The CAA has pleasure in publishing below details of the candidates standing for election to Council for the term 2024-2026. Below you will find copies of the candidates bios together with statements of motivation and a short video presentation.
The hustings were organised in three parts, as follows:
- 07 August 2024, Part 1: Candidates standing for election to CAA Council (for whom an election will be required)
- 08 August 2024, Part 2: Candidates standing for election to CAA Council (who are standing unopposed)
- 09 August 2024, Part 3: Candidates standing to become Steering Committee members of the Commonwealth Youth for Sustainable Urbanisation network (CYSU)
The CAA extends its sincere appreciation to all candidates for their engagement with the hustings process and is particularly pleased to note the gender split of 44% male v 56% female among those who are eligible to stand,

Election process
The election will take place electronically among eligible CAA Member Organisations.
The election process will be managed by Choice Voting and the CAA Executive Director, Jacob Mwangi, will issue electronic ballot papers to the designated representative from each Member Organisation.
Voting will open at 13:00 Central African Time on Wednesday 21 August and will close at 16:00 Central African Time on Thursday 22 August 2024.
